A Message From Our President - June 2024

To my fellow FEI Tampa Bay members, as well as sponsors, and friends,
 
It’s with great pride that I share that I will serve as your next Chapter President. Joanne has left some big shoes to fill, and I hope to make her proud as I lead the board and our chapter for the next two years.
 
I joined FEI Tampa Bay in 2018 and have served on the board for almost five years – watching both Joanne Dempster and Rob Taylor serve our chapter in this role. I’m excited for this next chapter and hope to make you proud as the board continues to promote the growth and success of our group.
 
As we close out our program year, it feels appropriate to look back on the success of our chapter over the last 10 months. Since September, our chapter has heard from local companies MicroLumen, FinTech, and Marine Max at our monthly meetings and held panel discussions on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and commercial real estate.
 
We’ve also hosted a successful charity event, volunteered with Junior Achievement and supported Metropolitan Ministries with both our time and money. Thanks to your support, we were able to donate $1,000 to Bay Area Advisors to support Moffitt Cancer Center following our sporting clays tournament and $4,025 to Metropolitan Ministries at our holiday social.
 
Thank you to our board for making this year a success for our chapter. Our committee members give freely of their time and energy to support our chapter and we would not be half the organization we are without them.
 
As we all take some time off to rest and recharge this summer, I hope that you’ll consider the many ways that FEI can support you from a national perspective. There are countless webinars, continuing education events and networking opportunities available to you. Take advantage of them.
 
I hope that you have a wonderful summer, and I look forward to seeing you in September.
