Please note: This webinar is part of a series, Managing Through COVID-19 – Strategic Guidance for CFOs. Separate registration via our Zoom web pages is required for each webinar session in the series.
At our last webinar focused on employment law in mid-March 2020, we had just entered what has become our new normal. In the March session, we had explored the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic on the workplace – including new state and federal leave laws and how to structure remote work. The last four months have provided an opportunity to learn about the precautions we can take against the virus and to explore how to safely and effectively return employees to work, whether at an employer’s premises or remotely.
Our July webinar will update employers on how to navigate the next COVID-19 frontier. From remote worker agreements to socially distant work spaces and everything in between, learn how to protect your employees and your business in the ever-changing world of employment law. We will explore how to put together a “Back to Work Plan,” including OSHA guidance and requirements for returning employees to work, I-9 background checks, temporary telework policies, and how to minimize risk when conducting layoffs/reductions in force.
COVID-19 has also had a significant impact on business immigration, with the issuance of new immigration restrictions/bans over the last several months. During the session, we will also discuss actionable items and best practices that companies and foreign nationals need to know in the current environment.
