A Message From Our President - May 2022

While we have remained virtual for programming this year due to the impacts of COVID-19, our chapter has been able to provide several interesting virtual programs. Including, one more on the “Fractional CFO” on May 18th, which should be provide some interesting insight on this growing trend for businesses.

We generally take off for the summer but will be back strong in the fall with a slate of many interesting presentations that will be back to our traditional in-person events. We are in the early stages of trying to schedule a member and sponsor only event in June that will be purely social and free to attendees.  I think it would be great for the chapter to get together to renew in-person contact and reenergize the chapter for a resumption of events beginning in the fall. Keep an eye on your inbox for details.

As always, I appreciate the efforts of Joe Wendel and our sponsors for stepping up to allow us to continue to provide programming.

I again encourage everyone to take advantage of the resources that FEI offers as part of your membership. Reach out to your fellow members and our chapter sponsors if they can be of assistance to navigate the path to reopening your business, make introductions or any other needs for which they may be able to provide assistance.

On a final note, several years ago we established a Scholarship fund at Salisbury University to honor the late Mitch Halbrich, who was a driving force in our chapter. If you never had the pleasure to meet Mitch, he was someone “once met never forgotten.” He was a close friend and is greatly missed. I am happy to report that the Scholarship fund now has a balance of $53,433 as of the end of 2021.
Stay safe and I am looking forward to when we can be together in-person.

Best Regards,
Kevin
