In October 2021, FEI, on the recommendation of the leadership of the Committee on Private Companies, joined more than 30 Industry and trade associations on an advocacy letter to House and Senate leaders expressing opposition to a Biden Administration proposal to require banks to report account information to the IRS. The letter was organized by the Consumer Bankers Association.
