Election Day 2014: See How Your Lawmakers Voted on FEI Priorities, Join FEI’s Post-Election Recap Webcast

by FEI Daily Staff

With the mid-term elections over, FEI’s Government Affairs department in Washington, D.C., invites you to see how your lawmakers rate with respect to FEI’s legislative priorities on FEI’s Congressional Scorecard.

The scorecard tracks lawmakers votes on key issues taken since 2011. Lawmakers with 100% ratings have voted with FEI 100% of the time on these votes. You will notice that Congress took substantially fewer votes on FEI key issues in the current 113th Congress than in the previous 112th Congress.

In the 113th Congress, 225 members of the U.S. House of Representatives who are running for re-election on Nov. 4 voted with FEI 100% of the time. In the U.S. Senate, where Senators only took one vote on an FEI priority, 16 Senators up for re-election earned a 100% vote record. Since FEI began its Congressional Scorecard during the 112th Congress, 59 U.S. Representatives on the ballot next Tuesday have maintained a 100% rating. Six U.S. Senators—none up for re-election—also have 100% lifetime voting records.

FEI’s Government Affairs department is closely following the outcome of the midterm elections and its impact on the issues that most concern FEI members. We will be hosting a webcast to recap the election results and what they mean for financial executives on Friday, Nov. 7 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
