The $550-Billion Question – What do we Do to Engage Our Employees?
Every two years, the Gallup Organization surveys 24,000 American workers, to establish their level of engagement with their work and their employer. Since the mid-90’s, the percentage of American workers whom Gallup finds to be fully engaged has never even reached one-in-three. So, we have a lingering problem with a 70+-percent Unengaged workforce. By Gallup’s calculations, this results in $500-Billion in lost productivity annually.
This webinar examines the state-of-the-art in worker engagement: what it is, how it contributes to company performance, what are companies doing to get it, and how you can understand engagement.
Learning objectives:
- Define employee engagement, unengagement and active disengagement;
- Understand the upside of engagement, versus the downside of unengaged employees;
- Know what practices contribute to employee engagement;
- Create employee engagement at the “local” and “organizational” levels;
- Measure the aspects of your Managers, as they relate to engaged teams.
