Laura Phillips, Google’s Director of Finance Compliance, has responsibility for Google’s SOX program, statutory reporting, and controllership and regulatory compliance for payments. Prior to Google, Ms. Philips was Vice President, Corporate Controller at Brown-Forman Corporation and Assistant Corporate Controller of General Motors Company. Before GM, Ms. Philips was Deputy Chief Auditor for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). Ms. Philips began her career with Ernst & Young as an auditor serving a broad range of clients and for four years she was a member of the firm’s National Professional Practice Group.
