Mr. Brett Lowrey

Mr. Lowrey is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group and Oil & Gas Group. He has experience advising public and private companies and creditor groups in financial restructuring, M&A, and financing transactions within the oil and gas industry and a variety of other sectors. He is based in the firm’s Dallas office.

Mr. Lowrey’s notable transaction experience includes Southcross Energy, EP Energy, American Energy – Permian Basin, Jones Energy, Nine Point Energy, Breitburn Energy, Connacher Oil and Gas, Swift Energy Co., Triangle Petroleum, Samson Resources, Emerald Oil, American Eagle Energy, EnQuest, PA Resources, Southern Pacific Resource Corp., Entegra Power Group, Synagro, and Aquilex.

Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Lowrey was in the investment banking group of BMO Capital Markets, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, public and private equity, debt capital, and structured finance in the oil and gas industry. He was also in the corporate finance group at KPMG, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and private placements.

Mr. Lowrey has been a speaker and co-author on various topics, including financial restructuring issues and trends, distressed M&A, and the oil and gas industry, among others.

Mr. Lowrey holds a B.S. from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business
