Ms. Elizabeth Reich

Elizabeth Reich has served since 2016 as the City of Dallas’ CFO where she leads a team of 560 employees in six departments including Office of Budget, City Controller’s Office, Equipment and Fleet Management, Information and Technology Services, Procurement Services, and Office of Risk Management.
 
Elizabeth was instrumental in brokering a compromise that saved the Dallas Police and Fire Pension, bringing biennial budgeting to Dallas, and negotiating a contract for private management of Fair Park.
 
Awards include D CEO’s 2018 Outstanding Public Service, and DBJ’s 2017 Emerging Leader and 2019 CFO of the Year.  Elizabeth serves on the board of the Dallas Chapter of FEI, is active in Women in Public Finance, and enthusiastically supports numerous mentoring programs.
 
Prior to joining the City of Dallas, Elizabeth enjoyed a 16-year career with the Social Security Administration, including serving as its CFO in 2015.  In that role, she was accountable for a program budget of more than $940 billion and an administrative budget of more than $11 billion.
 
Elizabeth was born in Oklahoma and is a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation.  She received her Master of Public Administration degree from The American University in Washington, D.C. in 2000.
