David has worked for Caterpillar for 22 years and has deep experience with Caterpillar and its accounting organization, processes and technology. He is a credentialed accountant and has had a number of significant roles at Caterpillar including being the CFO of a $4Bn Division who led a very large business turnaround, was responsible for Caterpillar’s corporate forecasting and planning, led the introduction of an EVA value management model (which is not adopted as the Operating & Execution model), led a revision in the operating model for Caterpillar’s IT group and now is leading a global transformation of Caterpillar’s worldwide finance & accounting organization which includes a shift to Digital Finance. He is focused on Introducing leading edge technologies and capabilities to drive a sustainable shift to value creation through data & insight generation.
David has lived in the US for the last twenty years, but prior to that he worked in the UK, Europe and China. His passions include technology, strategy and driving step-change transformation.
