Mark Niebuhr

Mark Nieburh began his insurance carrier in 1977 as a marketing representative with the Royal Insurance Company in San Jose, CA. After training in the Royal’s San Jose field office, he was assigned field responsibilities in Northern California, where he was instrumental in the territory’s rapid growth and profitability.

In 1981, Nieburh joined Schroeter, White & Johnson in Oakland, CA as an Account Executive, handling an increasingly complex book of personal and commercial business. While at SW&J, he became active in the Independent Insurance Agents/Brokers Association of California (IIABC), furthering the success of the Young Agents Committee in Northern California, and ultimately becoming President of the Oakland Association of Insurance Agents. In line with his professional development goals, Nieburh received the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation (CPCU) in 1986.

He joined Saylor & Hill Co, in Oakland, CA in 1988, as Vice President, handling an array of accounts in the manufacturing, food processing, beverage, and financial services industries. As an active Rotarian, Nieburh was involved in the local community, and furthered his community involvement as a board member of Family Services of the East Bay, a non-profit social service agency providing counseling and support services for disadvantaged families in the Bay Area.

Nieburh joined Jenkins Insurance Services in Concord, CA in 1994, and relocated to the Sacramento region in 2000. He currently handles the Risk Management and Insurance needs of a wide range of large businesses with emphasis in food & beverage, manufacturing, engineering, and financial services industries. Jenkins Insurance became Leavitt in 2009, then EPIC in 2014.

He has held positions as Vice President, Saylor & Hill Company, Vice President, Schroeter, White & Johnson, Marketing Representative, Royal Insurance Company.

Nieburh earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, California State University, Chico. He holds designations as Certified Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Risk Management, RIMS Fellow.
