Jim serves as a state and local tax (“SALT”) partner. Based in Phoenix, he has over 25 years of SALT experience in sales/use, income/franchise, personal property and credits and incentives areas.
Jim has SALT services for clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, retail, aviation, technology, construction and services. He also has experience leading engagements around audit controversy, nexus and unitary studies, multistate refund reviews, credits, and tax fiscal impact studies.
Prior to joining the firm, Jim served in various roles with Arthur Andersen, KPMG and in private industry.
Jim is a frequent speaker regarding transaction taxes and has appeared as a guest speaker at a wide variety of conferences, including:
