Kevin Mather

Kevin Mather is the President and CEO of the World Trade Center Northern California, located in Sacramento, California. He graduated with a BS Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly SLO and after graduation he and his wife spent 6 months traveling through Fiji, Australia and New Zealand. This adventure sparked a life-long fascination and love for international travel. At the time he says he had no idea what an influence it would have on his future and career!
  
After a stint as a manufacturing engineering in the semiconductor industry, he and his family relocated to Sacramento where he was part of a start-up company focused on tools for the commercial construction industry. Kevin has said, “Those three years in a start-up were my practical MBA!”
 
He then ventured into the EdTech industry with a manufacturer focused on laboratory equipment for science education. Kevin spent almost 24 years in EdTech with 20 years focused on international business. He has managed domestic and international and domestic sales and business development teams, international and domestic customer service teams as well as international marketing.
 
In his current role he is responsible for the strategy and execution of programs to help SME businesses be successful in international trade. He also guides his team on the implementation of a Citizen Diplomacy program for the US Department of State call the International Visitor Leadership Program.
 
Kevin has had the great fortune of traveling extensively and has worked or visited over 60 countries, and feels fortunate to count many of his former business partners as his friends. 

He and his wife Cheryl and the proud owners of two adult sons who are completely off the payroll and thriving!  They share their Carmichael home with their cats Dawg and Claire.
