Harold Perlman

Harold Perlman is a Managing Director in Grant Thornton’s Transaction Advisory Services practice based in the Chicago office. Harold has more than 20 years of professional experience and specializes in due diligence. Over the last decade, Harold has provided merger & acquisition advisory services to financial and corporate clients on approximately 200 transactions.
Harold has worked on both buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements with enterprise values ranging from $25 million to $500 million, including platform acquisitions, add-ons and carve-outs. He has consulted across multiple industries and has led multinational engagements where target companies have had significant operations in Europe and Asia.
 
Harold advises companies and private equity firms involved in M&A throughout the deal evaluation and negotiation processes. Additionally, he supports clients in the deal process with establishing working capital targets, review of purchase agreements and post-purchase consulting. Harold has co-authored an article on working capital pitfalls in transactions, which was published in Buyouts Magazine. He has also assisted clients with post-purchase price disputes that have resulted in mediation or arbitration.
