Gretchen is a Managing Director and Regional Head of Cambridge Associates’ Endowment & Foundation Practice. In this role, Gretchen is responsible for the firm’s work with over 250 endowment, foundation, and healthcare clients in the Northeast and Midwest United States and Canada. Previously, Gretchen served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Endowment & Foundation Practice as well as the Head of the Boston investing practice. In her 17 years at the firm, Gretchen has led investment teams building portfolios for non-profit clients and has advised Committees and Staff on governance issues including evaluating different approaches to endowment oversight.
Gretchen began her investing career on the equity research team at Putnam Investments, assisting with coverage of aerospace and defense, telecom equipment, and medical device companies. She also spent two years as a director for San Francisco-based Achieva College Prep Centers.
