Kathy Burgess is an operationally minded executive with a distinguished career in establishing, strengthening and leading corporate finance organizations. Trusted advisor to executive partners helping the team to focus on strategies and decision making that adds value to not only the bottom line but also the culture and long-term worth of the organization.
Extensive experience within the manufacturing industry but also has additional industry knowledge that encompasses technical services, financial services, professional services, distribution and logistics, manufacturing and operational and facilities management, technology, non-profit, publishing, clothing manufacturing and educational services.
Presently she is Chief Financial Officer at Dynamic Computer Corporation. Kathy joined Dynamic in October 2017 bringing experience managing leadership and finance functions of global manufacturing companies. She oversees the Accounting, Human Resources, Program Management, Quality and Enterprise Systems management teams. She works collaboratively across departments to develop and implement internal controls and systems that bring greater organizational stability while enhancing accountability and efficiency.
Prior to joining Dynamic, Kathy was the Vice President of Finance, North America at MINTH Group, a tier 1 and 2 global automotive parts supplier. Her distinguished career history also includes the leadership of KMB Advisors, a consulting firm focused on creative solutions to increase productivity, improve quality, reduce risk and improve profitability, as well as positions at the Detroit Regional Chamber, Dykema Gossett, Dana Holding Corporation, Arvin Meritor OE, and Ford Motor Company.
Kathy earned an MBA in finance and operations management from the University of Michigan. She serves on the State of Michigan: State Board of Pharmacy. She is also a current board member of FEI Detroit chapter and is an active member of numerous professional organizations and nonprofits.
She has a son Tom married and living in Denver with his wife Annie and his one year old son, Will. Her daughter, Kelsey, is a Registered Nurse living in Petoskey and resides in Petoskey with her husband Vinnie and her dog Cleo.
