Data analytics can help revolutionize organizations by providing finance functions with the tools needed to generate deeper, more holistic insights to drive organizational strategy and growth. Yet, our findings indicate that, for many, this evolving role of finance is a longdistant reality.
A survey of more than 340 financial executives and interviews with thought leaders revealed that finance functions currently fit within three stages on their respective data analytics journey: laggard, novice and vanguard. Moreover, our discussions with finance leaders uncovered a framework for finance teams to utilize as they progress and introduce analytics and build toward the future.
