The networking hour and evening presentation will be preceded by an optional afternoon PD session - "Changes To Lease Standards". Please register for each session you plan to attend.
The scope of possible disasters and emergencies is almost infinite: wildfire, flooding, hurricane, disease, power outage, etc. Are you prepared if the worst happens? What can you do to ensure the immediate safety and recovery for yourself, your family, and your coworkers? Will your business survive a disaster?
Preparation ensures the best chance of a positive outcome and helps everyone remain calm. Unfortunately, most people do not know how to prepare for disasters and emergency events.
In this dynamic presentation, Brian Sparks will teach you how to be prepared and react during a disaster or emergency. Brian is a trained Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician and has extensive experience preparing for and responding to a wide range of incidents. He will provide practical advice and materials to educate you on the basics for survival.
- How much water do you actually need to survive after a natural disaster?
- What are the best solutions to meet your water needs (bottled water, water filters, etc.)? Remember you may not have access to fresh running water for days or weeks.
- What items are essential for personal safety when traveling on commercial airlines and staying in hotels?
- How do you improve your situational awareness to ensure you are ready for any disaster or emergency?
- How should you react during an active shooter situation to ensure your best chance of survival?
No one wants to consider they may be a victim, but disasters and emergencies are a fact of life. Asking questions, getting educated, and making plans now will help you recover as quickly as possible.
