"Body Language During a Job Interview"

July 23, 2019 | 6:00-7:15 p.m. Program | 7:15-8:30 p.m. Networking | 1.5 CPE credits
Kendall Helfenbein will lead an actual workshop where you are trained on Rapport Building Body Language Skills to be used in an actual interview with a CEO.  The yes or no decision is often made in a matter of seconds after meeting the CEO, and the next 30 minutes are used by the CEO to reinforce that decision.  You have just seconds to make that first impression and make it a yes.  You have 30 to 45 minutes after that to keep it a yes.  Many of us are unaware of the body language we project.  This session will focus on Rapport Building Body Language Skills used during an actual interview. He will also cover stress related micro-expressions to watch out for during the interview so you can help change the direction of the interview.  These micro-expressions are extremely brief (less than half a second) and you must know what to look for to get honest feedback. You will practice two job interviews with two different “mock” CEO and leave the meeting with two honest feedback surveys of your Rapport Building Body Language Skills.  You will not be allowed to look at them during the meeting.  You will be asked to only look at them after you have left the meeting.  This should allow for more honest feedback from those giving it.  Please come dressed for a job interview.  Wear what you normally would wear for a final interview with the CEO.
Kendall Helfenbein, CFO, 360 Financial Solutions
