Danske Bank CEO Resigns Over $234B Money Laundering Scandal

Danske Bank's CEO Thomas Borgen quit on Wednesday in a money laundering scandal which involved 200 billion euros ($234 billion) flowing through its Estonian branch between 2007 and 2015, most of which was suspicious.

KPMG Admits Misconduct on BNY Mellon Reports

Britain’s accounting watchdog said on Wednesday KPMG and one of its partners has admitted to misconduct in relation to their 2011 compliance reports for a unit of Bank of New York Mellon Corp and its London branch. KPMG and partner Richard Hinton failed to give adequate consideration on whether the records of custody relationships maintained by the BNY Mellon Group were compliant to certain rules, the FRC said.
