Chair of the audit committee at Patisserie Valerie Lee Ginsberg is resigning amid revelations the company's balance sheet had been “significantly” manipulated through thousands of false entries. Working with forensic accountants from PwC, it found “the misstatement of its accounts was extensive, involving very significant manipulation of the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts”.
