Is Ford's Shakeup Due to an Employee Hotline Complaint?

Ford Motor Co.'s North American President Raj Nair has been forced out over allegations of "inappropriate behavior." Ford officials did not specify what behavior led to Nair's departure, but according to The Associated Press, the company began an investigation after a recent anonymous complaint about Nair was made to the company's 24-hour hotline. Ford announced on Thursday that Kumar Galhotra, group vice president, Lincoln and Chief Marketing Officer, will succeed Nair.

Payroll giant ADP has teamed up with the online employment site ZipRecruiter to help small businesses find qualified job candidates. “In today's tight labor market, finding great talent is one of the toughest parts of running a small or midsized business,” said ADP Small Business Solutions and Human Resources Outsourcing president Maria Black in a statement.

The new guidance says companies should inform investors about cybersecurity risks, even if they have not yet been targeted by hackers in a cyberattack. It also stresses that companies publicly disclose breaches in a timely fashion, and instructs firms to take steps to prevent executives and others with previous knowledge of a breach from trading in its securities before the information is made public. “In particular, I urge public companies to examine their controls and procedures, with not only their securities law disclosure obligations in mind, but also reputational considerations around sales of securities by executives,” SEC Chairman Jay Clayton said.
