Dan Werries

Dan Werries is the Global Director for Diamond Systems Finance, Purchasing and Analytics at The Dow Chemical Company, where he is responsible for the strategy, implementation, and adoption of innovative analytics and business process automation in these areas. He also leads selected world-scale ERP implementations for the company, such as the divestiture of Dow’s chlorine-related businesses to Olin and the integration of Dow Corning into Dow’s systems and business processes.

 

Mr. Werries joined Dow in the Controllers organization in 1989, working in cost accounting, finance systems, treasury accounting, and global marketing & sales reporting. While leading global business finance teams for Dow Latex and Hydrocarbons & Energy, he was deeply involved in business strategy development, acquisitions, and divestitures. Prior to his current role, Mr. Werries was global finance director for cost accounting and business services.

 

Mr. Werries earned his MBA from Michigan State University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics with 30 hours in Accounting from the University of Illinois.
