Christine Tan

Christine Tan is the Co-Founder and Chief Research Officer of idaciti. She served on the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) team that designed and built the first XBRL taxonomy for U.S. corporate financial statements. She later served as an XBRL project manager for the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), where she led the team responsible for updating the XBRL format to reflect new accounting pronouncements. Ms. Tan's academic research in financial reporting has been published in leading academic journals and she has lectured on financial reporting at Baruch College, Fordham University, and Hofstra University. She is a member of the FASB’s Taxonomy Advisory Group and the International Accounting Standards Board’s IFRS Taxonomy Consultative Group.
