Kevin MacKay

Kevin MacKay is Vice President, Global Technical Accounting Advisory Services & Policy in Pfizer’s Controllers organization, responsible for business development transactions, valuations, technical accounting, policies, FASB and SEC matters, training and special strategic projects, such as the recent business spin-off transaction. He joined Pfizer in 2015 as Vice President, Lead Divisional Controller for all worldwide Finance and Business Operations until moving to his current role in 2016.

Mr. MacKay was previously Vice President, Controller & Chief Accounting Officer at Avaya Inc., a commercial communications and technology company with $5 billion in revenues, from 2010 to 2015. There he led a worldwide team of 250 people whose responsibilities included consolidations, corporate accounting, SEC reporting, global SOX compliance, shared service center operations, and world-wide accounting activities for the company.  In 2014, he was given increased responsibilities as Head of Global Tax operations. Prior to Avaya, he spent 13 years at Tyco International in various finance roles with progressive responsibilities, including Divisional Controller for the largest business, VP Assistant Treasurer, VP Assistant Corporate Controller and Director of External Reporting. Tyco grew from $7 billion to $41 billion in revenue during his tenure, and Kevin was involved in many dynamic transactional and transformative initiatives, including a series of multi-billion dollar acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, spinoffs, IPOs and Six Sigma operational efficiency programs.

Earlier in his career Mr. Mackay spent 2 years as a business operations Finance Director at Accenture and 8 years at Arthur Andersen where he worked as an auditor. He is a CPA and has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Bentley University.
