Jonathan Nus

Jonathan Nus is an executive director in EY Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice. In this role, he advises clients on addressing the impact of accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory changes and assists them in building efficient and effective corporate reporting processes and investor communications. He co-leads FAAS’s solutions related to mergers & acquisitions activity and disclosure effectiveness. Prior to joining EY, Mr. Nus served as senior director at Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services and led the global financial services accounting specialist team. In that role, he provided direction on the manner in which financial statement information is analyzed and incorporated into Standard & Poor’s financial analysis and ratings considerations for issuers across financial services and corporate sectors. He has authored numerous articles on a wide-range of technical accounting and financial reporting topics targeted for investors. Mr. Nus recently served as a member of FASB’s Investors Advisory Committee (IAC) and the Financial Reporting Executive Committee (FinREC), the senior technical committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) for financial reporting. He has also actively participated in a number of other committees with a financial reporting focus. Previously, Mr. Nus served in Deloitte & Touche LLP’s National Office - Mergers and Acquisition group. In that role, he advised large private equity investors and others on acquisition strategy, comprehensive due diligence findings and other accounting and financial structuring issues. He began his career in Deloitte’s audit practice in New York. Mr. Nus is a licensed CPA in New York and a member of the AICPA and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He received a B.S. in Accounting from Brooklyn College and an M.B.A, with a concentration in Finance, from New York University – Stern School of Business.
