Steve Sell

Steve Sell is responsible for the Financial Systems and Data Management (FSDM) function within Global Financial Control (GFC). In this role, Mr. Sell and his global team are responsible for GFC project delivery, business process design, data strategy and management, production services and emerging technology. The FSDM team drives strategic change related to business process, data and systems applications working closely with Global Technology & Operations (GT&O), GFC line stakeholders, and the various lines of business. The FSDM team is approximately 375 people globally working across Charlotte, NY/Jersey City, Providence, London, Hong Kong, Gurugram, and Chennai.

 

Mr. Sell has worked in the industry for over 27 years, working primarily in New York City in the banking and capital markets industry. He also worked abroad in London from 1999 to 2000. Mr. Sell joined Bank of America in November 2017 from Credit Suisse. Mr. Sell worked at Credit Suisse in the Finance and Global Markets Change areas over an eight year period. During the financial crisis, he also spent four years at Barclays Capital as a front-office COO for the Americas Global Markets business covering sales, trading, and research. At Barclays, he also served at the Americas Treasurer and global COO managing liquidity, capital and balance sheet.

 

Previous to Credit Suisse and Barclays, Mr. Sell spent fourteen years at Accenture and left as a partner in 2004. At Accenture, Mr. Sell mainly did large-scale systems designs and implementations at global banks, brokerage houses, and exchanges. Mr. Sell is a graduate of Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Computer Science.
