Lisa Ullman

Lisa Ullman is an actuary and subject matter specialist consulting on accounting for pensions and other postretirement benefits as part of PwC’s People and Organization (Tax) - Rewards, Retirement Practice (P&O-Rewards) as a member of the HR Accounting Advisory group.

As a US national resource, she advises on the accounting implications of employee benefit programs on employer’s and plan's financial statements under FASB, GASB, NAIC, and/or IFRS principles. She leads the pensions and other postretirement benefits audit support in the Boston office and supervises pension and other postretirement benefits valuations. She serves on the P&O-Rewards Actuarial Practice Committee which oversees US P&O-Rewards technical and actuarial policies.

Prior to joining PwC, Ms. Ullman worked on pension plan and postretirement valuations and design as part of the Boston, MA office of a major international actuarial and employee benefits firm. She began her career as an analyst in the pension actuarial consulting group of a major insurance company in Hartford, CT.

Ms. Ullman is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under the Employee Income Retirement Security Act of 1974, and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. She volunteers as a council member of the Retirement Section of the Society of Actuaries (SOA), and is a volunteer interested party working with the Committee on Post-Retirement Needs and Risks under the SOA's Retirement Section. She previously served as a voluntary member of the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA) Committee on Professional Responsibility. She frequently presents at professional conferences. She has a bachelor of arts from Mount Holyoke College, majoring in mathematics and economics.
