The House of Representatives passed sweeping tax reform legislation that will slash the corporate tax rate to 20%, establish a 25% rate on some pass-through business income, establish a territorial tax system for international business activities and set a special rate on foreign-earned income currently sitting offshore. The legislation passed by the House will now wait to be reconciled with the Senate version of tax reform legislation.
