Mitch Danaher, Deputy Controller of General Electric Company, will serve as FEI’s national Board Chair for a second term. He has worked with General Electric for more than 30 years, starting as a recruit in their Financial Management Program and serving in a variety of finance roles at GE’s businesses and on the Headquarters staff. Danaher also has served as a Member of the U.S. delegation to the International Accounting Standards Committee and as a Member of the FASB's Emerging Issues Task Force. He was named to FEI's Board of Directors in 2012 and is active in FEI’s Committee on Corporate Reporting.
Additional elected officers for the 2015-2016 fiscal year include:
- Prat Bhatt, SVP, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Cisco Systems will serve as national Vice Chair. Since joining FEI in 2007, he has served in various roles within Financial Executives Research Foundation’s Research Committees and Board of Trustees, including the role of Chair in 2013. Bhatt was elected to the Board in 2014 as a Director and is active in FEI’s Committee on Corporate Reporting.
- Peter S. Rockett, Vice President of Finance and Administration at the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce will serve another term as national Treasurer. He has been a member of FEI since 1999. He was President of FEI’s Boston Chapter in 2012-2013 and currently chairs its Nominating Committee. Prior to Rockett’s officer roles as Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary of the chapter, he chaired the Professional Development Committee from 2006‐2009.
- Thomas Haller, a senior financial executive providing interim CFO and financial reporting expertise to publicly-and privately-held enterprises, will serve as national Secretary. Since joining FEI in 2007, Haller served as President of FEI’s Connecticut/Westchester Chapter from 2009 to 2011 before joining the national Board as a Director.
- Taylor Hawes, Sr., General Manager, Corporate Finance and Services of Microsoft Corporation, will serve as the national Immediate Past Chair. He has been a member of FEI since 2002, serving on the Committee on Finance and Information Technology, as a Trustee of Financial Executives Research Foundation, as well as the Chair of the Hall of Fame Selection Committee for 2015.
