FEI Chicago Chapter Gives $15,000 in Student Awards

by FEI Daily Staff

On February 18, the Chicago Chapter kept with its longstanding tradition and conducted its annual Academic Awards Recognition Program to recognize students who demonstrate potential and have a high aspiration to become future business leaders.

To be eligible, the student must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate business program with either a declared major in Accounting or Finance.

This year, students representing seven universities in the Chicagoland area, participated in a panel style interview. Each student received a monetary award ranging from $1,700 to $2,700, based on their performance during the interview process and essay submission. In addition, the students received a recognition certificate from FEI's President and CEO, Andrej Suskavcevic, and subscriptions to Financial Executive Magazine, FEI Daily, and FERF research materials.

The students were recognized and presented with their award during the dinner program.

The recipients of $ 2,700 awards were:

  • Tosha Kadakia, Loyola University Chicago
  • Hans-Christian Lauer, University of Illinois at Chicago
  • Maria Magana, Dominican University
Recipients of $1700 awards were:
  • Michael Berger, De Paul University
  • Thomas Fisher, Northern Illinois University
  • Michael Kitts, Aurora University
  • Sharee Zlatkova, Roosevelt University
